The University of Texas at Arlington

The University of Texas at Arlington has a lot programs to offer. From Architecture to University of Studies, UT Arlington has it all, you can check out their schools and majors they have on campus. With that said, they also GREAT Scholarship opportunities for incoming freshmen.

Here’s some opportunities they offer through their site:

President’s Charter 1300 SAT/29 ACT

High School Top 10% or 3.5 GPA
$8,000 per year
Outstanding Freshman 1200 SAT/26 ACT
AND
High School Top 10% or 3.2 GPA
$6,000 per year
Freshman Honors 1100 SAT/24 ACT
AND
High School Top 20%
$4,000 per year
Freshman Recognition Scholarship 1200 SAT/26 ACT
AND
Graduation in the Top 50%
of a Texas public high school
$4,000 per year
Top 10% Award Graduation in the Top 10%
of a Texas public high school
$2,000 per year
National Merit Scholarship Finalist must submit Certificate of Merit to the Scholarship Office by February 15, 2012 Full tuition, fees, and residence hall costs up to $20,000 per year

They also have The Honors Distinction Scholarship  and it’s eligibility requirements:

  • Minimum SAT score of 1300 (Critical Reading and Mathematics) or ACT composite score of 30;
  • Admission to UT Arlington by February 15, 2012;
  • Admission to the Honors College at UT Arlington by February 15, 2012; and
  • Submission (delivered via snail mail, fax or in person–not by email) of all application materials for the Honors Distinction Scholarship by midnight CST, February 15, 2012.

Another scholarship opened for future Mavericks Students is the The Maverick Leadership Scholarship

Any individual applying for the Maverick Leadership Scholarship must have been admitted into UT Arlington has been extended until March 23, 2012.

  • Any individual applying for the Maverick Leadership Scholarship must have been admitted into UT Arlington has been extended until March 23, 2012.
  • Demonstrate active leadership involvement in a variety of activities throughout high school.
  • Minimum 1100 SAT or 24 ACT test score.
  • School transcripts (our office cannot access any transcripts submitted to admissions and records offices, they must be also submitted with this application).
  • A cumulative G.P.A. of 3.25 on 4.0 scale or equivalent.
  • Recommendation letter from a club or organizational advisor that addresses your leadership abilities. Please send this with your application materials.
  • A typed resume along with answers to the short answer and essay questions below must be included with your application. Recommendation letters must be in a sealed envelope and submitted with the application form.
